 Why you need an art evaluator. Hasn't the internet made it possible for anyone to identify and determine the market price of a work of art? 

No.  

The value of a given work of art is determined by its provenance (history), its quality, its rarity and the going market.

Can't you just look the object up on eBay? Sure. And anyone can put anything on eBay, regardless of its provenance, authenticity or quality.
